Sr. Accountant

Description Robert Half is searching for a Senior Accountant with previous accounting experience who is interested in working with an esteemed Hi Tech Engineering firm. In this role, you will be handling financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates should enjoy analytical tasks, challenges, and fast-paced environments. This Senior Accountant role is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota with a company in the Hi Tech Engineering field. Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations

Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions

Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

Engage in various department-wide initiatives

Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required

Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner Requirements - Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills

Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

High attention to detail

Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

Exceptional time management skills preferred

Deep understanding of general ledger

Public Accounting Audit experience desired

Full Cycle Accounting experience

SEC Reporting experience preferred

Knowledgeable of ERP systems

2+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
