Join us and start doing your life's best work.Join the Personalization team as a Senior Software Engineer focusing on Backend. The Personalization team delivers custom content tailored to the individual, enabling users to take charge and make the most of their healthcare. Working within a team comprised of diverse skills, you will build systems that are highly scalable and performant, delivering content across several web and mobile platforms.

Primary Responsibilities:

Architect and build scalable systems, libraries, and frameworks

Develop APIs and web microservices

Integrate third-party APIs, and the ability to understand them in several formats

Architect and build scalable systems, libraries, and frameworks

Write backend code using Scala

Explain, Socialize and Vet designs internal and external stakeholders

Identify, design and lead resolution areas for technical maturation across Personalization code base

Establish, educate and extend design patterns

4+ years of real industry experience in Backend software development
4+ years coding experience with Scala, Java or other compiled language
4+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and caching
Commercial experience with distributed, high-performance systems
Experience with cloud-based services and hosting (AWS and/or Azure)
Exposure to JavaScript-based frameworks like React or Angular

Preferred Qualification:

Experience with Scala
