Job Purpose/Summary Statement:The Consulting Engineer is responsible for providing quality services and solutions to our clients while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction. You are responsible for generating and maximizing IT & Voice sales opportunities through product demonstrations, pre & post sales support of hardware and software for clients, troubleshooting and assisting Sales Representatives with answering technical questions, demonstrating products and helping with the sale both in-house and at client locations. Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide sales consultation, design and support of client activity involving all related products and services to include assisting Sales staff with Statement Of Work (SOW) creation including task lists and equipment lists. Assist Sales staff with RFP responses when directed by service management
Offer roadmap and strategic vision to new and existing clients that will result in specific applications and recommendations of products
Ensure strong, effective market share of the products and services by providing direction and information on the products and related services. Develop and maintain technical competencies in products offered through Marco
Prevent and combat competitive activity within opportunities by demonstrating extensive knowledge and key benefits of Marco solutions over the competition
Lead or assist with presales including customer demonstrations, proof of concepts, briefings and marketing events sponsored by Marco
Keep professional technical certifications current
Conduct training sessions and install new releases of software in a demo environment and new products to our Sales team
Keep well informed on industry changes and continually work to improve sales and presentation techniques
Stay advised on company procedures and objectives and always be prepared to accurately discuss them to our clients
Promptly assist and maintain documentation of client facing paperwork in a timely manner to include RFPs, SOWs, service requests and purchase agreements uploaded to SharePoint
Upkeep demo equipment and solutions centers
Attend required company and department meetings
Perform other related duties as assigned by direct supervisor or manager
Required Technical Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience or equivalent experience
Solid understanding of industry technologies as it pertains to presale responsibilities. Understand hardware and software related to Marco's current solution offerings to include both voice and data
Current high level industry recognized certifications including one or more of the following: CCNP/Specialization, EMC-TA, CCE, VCAP, VCDX, BCNP or Call Center Applications
Solid understanding of routing and switching
Proficiency with business collaboration tools such as MS Office applications, Visio, MS Project and company and client specific programs
$120,000-$150,000 starting salary range. In addition to the salary you will also be provided with full benefits.
