Job Summary:

The Senior Network Engineer will participate in the architecture, design, and implementation of networking and security controls of secure and regulated customer/patient facing systems. You will be working with server operators and application developers to build supporting network solutions to support enterprise applications rapidly migrating to could based deployments. To be successful in this position, this individual should have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, time and project management skills, interpersonal skills, and leadership skills, should be able to take on complex projects and assignments without detailed specifications and provide leadership direction to other personnel as appropriate. The individual should be able to critically think through projects or problems and continuously work toward improving systems in terms of security, scalability, and manageability. The individual should also be familiar with working through processes and procedures in order to accomplish objectives while at the same time being able to act as an independent thinker who can take full ownership of systems and projects.

Primary Duties: Contributes to business projects by gathering requirements and designing network centered solutions to support complex product applications in an internet facing enterpriseenvironment Design and implement network solutions that are manageable, secure, and highly available on a variety of network platforms including datacenter LAN, WAN and Azure/Cloud Responsibility for ensuring secure networking practices are occurring, coordinating requirements for remediation when necessary, and implementing changes where required Self-directed coordination ofimplementation projects, tasks, device documentation and cross training of coworkers Ensures that the networking environment is always improving, keeping up with company requirements, and even looking forward in order to provide additional value to the company Maintains up-to-date networkdiagrams for both physical and logical layouts, to include important data flows Develops and coordinates with others a system of automating tasks that are regularly occurring Performs network performance testing and monitoring Coordinates with internal security teams and business partners in relation to security assessments Responsible for staying abreast of new developments in hardware and software technologies and making recommendations as appropriate Accountable for preventative maintenance planning, product lifecycle planning, software and hardware update planning
