The Scheduling Coordinator - Procedures promotes UMPhysicians’ philosophy of patient-centered care by guiding customers through appointment and procedure scheduling, as well as coordinating all follow-up support with the healthcare team.This Scheduling Coordinator - Procedures manages the scheduling of all outpatient procedures, labs, and follow-up appointments as ordered by providers. The individual in this position must have excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritize and triage work in a fast-paced environment, superior problem solving aptitude, a patient-focused mindset, and concise communication skills.Scheduling Coordinator - Procedures Overview Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Schedules multiple same day appointments and special or complex medical procedures

Provides support to staff and physicians, and other customers by managing phone calls and correspondence

Organizes and maintains patient files and documents

Requests additional patient records from other clinics, facilities to ensure continuity of care

Assists patients at the front desk at the discretion of the supervisor based on clinic needs

Minimum Qualifications: An Associate’s Degree in medical related field or 2+ years post high school education

2+ years of work experience in an outpatient or inpatient clinic setting providing general administrative support and/or scheduling complex medical procedures

Knowledge of medical terminology

Demonstrated experience using Epic, Flowcast, Allscripts, and FCIS software
