This role supports strategic development and leads analytical initiatives that harness product potential across the combined businesses serving schools (yearbook, scholastic and college). Tools will be used to help drive merchandising performance (business and product line demand data, order/ship tracking, salesforce and marketing communications, account/pricing/discounting data, commission and margin reporting, contracted and projected reporting, business intelligence tracking etc.).

RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible to work with sales as a business partner and be a finance liaison for key indicator reporting, tracking and communication across product linesManage reporting and execution of marketing and sales initiatives through analysis and metricsGenerate sound strategic insights from multiple, often complex raw data feeds, using expert understanding of analytical and statistical data analysis techniquesInform and test base data models, review and revise data engineering (API inputs, ingestion scripts, etc), run descriptive visualizations on tableau and develop explanatory, predictive and optimized modelsAssist in build out and use of Tableau, training and building dashboards. Collaborate with cross functional team (IT and Financial Analysts)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:Required:Bachelors degree in Finance or AccountingMinimum 7+ years of experience in financial, sales and customer analyticsHigh level of business acumen, with critical thinking, problem solving and analytic skillStrong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with all levels in the organizationExperience with developing Tableau dashboardsExperience in building complex financial and statistical modelsFlexibility, balancing hands-on coding and modelling (existing and new build models) on a frequent basisProgramming experience in Python and SQLExperience in presenting & communicating complex projects to non-technical teamsTeam player with a collaborative mindset, always prioritizing impact for the businessUnderstanding of big data principles and technologies with a working knowledge of data integrationExperience in effectively sharing data between multiple systemsExcellent time management and organizational skills, having proven ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks
