About the Position: This position is with the Integrated Logistics Support Center, Supply Chain Integration Directorate Order Management Division located in Warren, Michigan Responsibilities Develop and maintain functional and operational aspects of logistics systems with knowledge and training acquired through comprehensive application of system analysis techniques and operations. Conducts extensive studies and comprehensive analysis of segments, functions, methods, procedures, and practices pertaining to new and/or improved business processes within the AMC community. Develops and coordinates the establishment of new or revised procedures, methods, and practices of a complex nature within and between business units after thorough analysis of their effect on various operating segments. Collaborates with functional experts of other DoD agencies to negotiate, decide, and coordinate work-related changes affecting these business practices. Responsible for the consolidation and analysis of Supply and Workload data. Also responsible for the implementation and effective use of integrated data processing systems that aid in accomplishing the materiel management and supply support function. Represents TACOM ILSC as a voting and/or non-voting member of DoD, DA, AMC panels, groups, committees and boards in areas of assigned responsibility and in the development of future business process changes and/or standardized systems. Serves as a lead Supply Systems Analyst responsible for procedural, technical, and planning aspects of Logistics Integration (LI) automated systems and policy. Solicits appropriate Commodity Business Unit expertise for the planning, development, and implementation of new concepts and theories, business process changes, budgetary input and employee suggestions. One year of experience which includes (1) developing or modifying material management programs/systems and/or supply programs/systems; (2) analyzing and/or evaluating Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERPs) such as Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) to develop improvement procedures and/or recommendations; and (3) utilizing wholesale logistics computer applications to design cost effective, efficient system changes. And (4) utilizes organizational supply functions such as Acquisition, Supply Chain Management, Sales and Distribution, Product Life Cycle Management, Inventory Management, Maintenance to identify and initiate research of problem areas. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
