Job Description

The developer/data analyst is a key role on a collaborative regional project team, which is responsible for the design and production of reporting, dashboards, and operational tools as requested and prioritized by business. These systems satisfy customer and organizational business requirements and provide solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. This role must understand the business problems and opportunities in order to apply technical skills in the design, development and testing of data flows, applications and systems.

Major Duties and Responsibilities (ED&A/GeoDev Team)

  • SupportsDistricts with exceptional data analytics for planning, root cause analysis and process improvement activities that accelerate Expeditors’ Business.
  • Produce systems solutions such as small applications, robotic process automation, and desktop scripting for business needs using approved tools and technologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or higher in the area of information systems, data analytics or computer science
  • Ability to clearly communicate and present to small and large groups
  • One or more programming languages – SQL and Python preferred
  • Experience with reporting environments
  • Basic data query and manipulation standards
  • Data Security Policies
  • Data programming fundamentals
  • Data Quality and Validation Testing, QA Standards and Methodology
  • Experience with both front end and back end application development / SDLC
  • Understanding of Agile Methodology and Scrum framework and practices
  • Experience with Robotic Process Automation a plus!
