Validation Test Engineer

Validation Test Engineer/Technician – Novi, MIKelly Engineering has an immediate opportunity for a Validation Test Engineer/Electronics Technician to work with our client in Novi, MI.This will be a 6 month contract (to possible perm) opportunity, working with an advanced mobility supplier and global Fortune 500 company, who develop technology and components for major automakers worldwide, which you can find on nearly every vehicle make and model on the road today!Responsibilities:The System Testers will serve as main engineering support with our customer and Japanese product evaluation team.

Will be responsible for Function and Black Box testing, as well as road testing of infotainment systems, evaluation of radio products; and tracking, investigating and solving engineering issues.

Will also evaluate /analyze / counter measure claims during development and production with Japan, customers, and plants for electronics software issues; create test case and test plans, provide customer plant fallouts for root cause from electrical perspective; create technical reports; prepare material and develop issue list for customer meeting; and attend customer meetings.

The Tester will be participating in group evaluations of bench-marking and internal monitor vehicles; and assisting the evaluation team with research and documentation tasks.

Knowledge with Jira a plus (online issues striking system).

Skills & Experience:Must have an Associates degree in Electronics (or related field of study).

1-3 years experience in automotive systems or electronics.

Should have a good understanding of black box testing, connected service, HF, BT, and cell phone connectivity is a plus.

Most importantly, the candidate must have a passion for audio, electronics, mechanical, hands-on experience with some form of car work (i.e. studio sound, live sound, car audio, home audio, etc.), and practical knowledge of automobiles.
