Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started.Summary: Facebook is seeking a Principal Program Manager to join our Data Center Design Engineering & Construction (DEC) Team. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates and upon which our innovative services are delivered. Building and operating data centers the "right" way is synonymous with ensuring high uptime, capacity availability and capital conservation. The Program Manager will have broad hyper-scale capex program knowledge that spans site acquisition, design, supply chain, contractual delivery methods, field logistics and sequencing, Design for Manufacturing Approach (DFMA), commissioning, operations, etc. While the Principal Program Manager is not required to be an expert in all areas, deep knowledge is preferred in the Construction Management aspects of such a program. Working as an individual contributor (vs. organization leader), the Program Manager will develop effective relationships with all levels across the organization and our external partners to gather, understand and synthesize broad program context of value definitions, goals, challenges and opportunities for value enhancement. Relationships and context will be leveraged to lead, facilitate and influence initiatives and workstreams to further the mission of DEC, it’s parent Org (Infra Data Centers-IDC) and more broadly, Meta. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, state-of-the-art hyper-scale global Capex Program that presents an unprecedented opportunity to influence and change the industry within a highly collaborative, innovative and fast-paced environment.Required Skills: Facilitate, lead, influence and/or support partners across DEC, IDC and Meta on strategic initiatives and workstreams that further their mission.

Propose and lead investigations on the broader Capex Program that proactively identify and mitigate risks and/or significantly enhance value, thus fostering reliable/predictable outcomes and enabling significant growth in annual Capex program.

Influence and collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to create new or further existing strategies and workstreams that proactively identify and mitigate risks and/or significantly enhance value.

Influence data center designs and delivery solutions to produce reliable, predictable Capex delivery and significant year on year spend growth.

Influence DEC’s management leaders to broaden perspectives and enhance strategic focus in the areas of delivery execution, risk management and sustainability.

Support and enhance the development of the company’s relationship with consultants, general contractors, trade partners and equipment vendors to produce strategic, long-term partnerships.

Mentor employees in areas of leadership, operational excellence, program level risk assessment, strategic planning and staff development.

Available to travel approximately 40% of any month (domestic & overseas).

Minimum Qualifications: 20+ years of direct professional experience in any combination of design management, construction program management, operations management and corporate leadership.

5+ years of executive experience in a leadership role on large Capex programs.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering Discipline.

Proven analytical and organizational experience in a large, fast moving corporate environment.

Superior communication and relationship building skills are essential to the role.

Familiar with ground-up greenfield site development, occupied facility retrofit work and general commercial construction practices.

Experience developing and delivering presentations for large groups of over 200 peers.

Experience multitasking and rethinking priorities on a frequent basis to support a rapidly growing business model.

Experienced with working across various cultures and geographical regions across the globe.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering Discipline.
