NOC Engineer

CBTS is currently seeking a NOC Engineer for a position located in the Lansing, MI area.

• Monitoring and escalation of critical application as per the SOW.
• Generate and publish application performance reports.
• Provide notification to platform owners and the service teams for Level 1&2 incidents.
• Manage incident and request task assigned until it reaches a resolved state.
• Provide communication to the technical support teams including status updates for on-going incidents/events.
• Create, update and document system processes and tasks as required.
• Work closely with network engineers, systems administrators and software engineers regarding technology and hardware upgrades.
• Provide on call support for Crisis and Incident Management during normal business hours, evenings and weekend as required.
• Provide support for the NOC Team, Data Center Operations Team and Infrastructure Field Services Team when required
• Installation / Decommission Servers and Network equipment.
• Co-ordinate with Vendors for maintenance and escorts
• Performs installation of Ethernet and Fiber cabling.
• Provide hands and Feet support for all hardware equipment.

• Previous IT experience working in a Network Operations Center and Infrastructure Field Services environment required.
• Ability to review, update and create Knowledge Based Articles and Process Documents.
• Proficient at managing and escalating incidents that are assigned to the Network Operations Center.
• Hands on experience trouble shooting or installing Network equipment.
