Asset Management Planning and Procurement Lead The Asset Management Planning and Procurement Lead will help drive will help drive and support the daily operational and long-term strategic management of technology related Digital Technology (DT) assets (hardware and software). This responsibility includes execution/improvement of existing processes and design/implementation of new processes to establish and maintain the accuracy of hardware and software asset information to achieve compliance. This position is one of two that will support the asset life cycle for the Enterprise.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assist with hardware forecasting activities (including asset refresh) to ensure on-time delivery of hardware to the various RTX business units.
Assist with procurement activities for hardware and software.
Assist with the creation and/or update of Asset Inventory processes and procedures.
Coordinate with Inventory Hub Asset Leads to ensure inventory records in the Asset Management System are accurate and up to date.
Run, analyze and publish Reports on asset information
Develop, document, and maintain IT Asset Information Management processes for the planning and procurement area.
Assist the Governance team, where needed, to help create, improve, and strengthen the policies and procedures of the Asset Management Service as it pertains to the planning and procurement space.
Provide support to the support & decommissioning LifeCycle area as needed.
Experience/QualificationsExperience working independently and in team-oriented, collaborative environment with a geographically dispersed team
Ability to influence and work across multiple organizations and levels
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills
Knowledge of asset and service management solutions (Eracent, ServiceNow, SCCM)
Direct experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio)
Knowledge of industry best practices in management of IT assets including common lifecycle states and processes
Experience working with all levels of a large organization including cross-business teams and external vendors
Demonstrated knowledge of hardware and software configuration and licensing terminology
Demonstrated knowledge of software licensing and entitlement models
Experience with process improvement methodologies/concepts/techniques
CertificationsAny of the following certifications, in good standing, considered an advantage:IT Asset Management
ITIL v3 or v4
Foundations
Service Operations
Education:Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 8 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 5 years experience.
