Jefferson Wells is seeking a Process Engineer consultant for a manufacturing client in the Kalamazoo, MI area.

Responsibilities:

  • Champions safe work processes and foster culture of safety on all project aspects.
  • Closely monitors construction schedule of site activities and off-site modular construction.
  • Interacts with internal business partners to establish and define requirements for assigned deliverables and areas.
  • Works closely with other members of project management organization.
  • Manages assigned areas in accordance with best practices including on-time start-up, completion within budget and meeting established expectations for successful project outcome(s).
  • Participate in the development of Commission and Verification (C&V) activities on the project utilizing client's Verification (ASTM E2500) model. Review and accept TOPs package, schedule training for plant personnel PRIOR TO TURN OVER.
  • Applies extensive technical and industry-specific expertise and has full knowledge of the requirements of other related disciplines. Demonstrated skills in leading, planning, and developing project execution.
  • Represents client as the contact on assigned project areas. Interacts with senior internal and/or external personnel on matters often requiring coordination between organizations. Frequent contacts with internal personnel and customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling of specific phases of projects or contracts.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity, innovation, and creativity. Ability to gather, analyze and interpret, relate and compare information from multiple sources and identify cause and effect relationships. Ensures solutions are consistent with project objectives. Able to adapt and respond positively to a variety of situations and people in order to meet changing departmental priorities.
  • Guides the successful completion of major areas in a project leadership role. Ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to complete assignments would normally result in serious delays to assigned projects resulting in considerable expenditure of additional time, human resources, and funds. Empowers others to contribute their best.

Required Experience:

  • 10 years/Project Engineer related experience with BA/BS in engineering or construction.
  • Experience in a bio-pharmaceutical / FDA-regulated manufacturing environment. A working knowledge of cGMP and facility/equipment validation requirements.
  • Demonstrated commitment to values-based leadership and achieving objectives in a manner that is supportive of the client values and leader behaviors.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and administer budgets, schedules, and apply resources to accomplish projects on schedule. Ability to manage multiple priorities and a successful track record of managing projects.
