The Fastener Solutions business unit is ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certified.Job DescriptionThe Automotive Account Executive (AE) is responsible for establishing partnerships with major automotive OEMs, vendors and suppliers and providing Fastener solutions to the Automotive industry. You will be responsible for growing year over year revenues for the Fastener Solutions Division (FSD) by achieving the stated sales objectives for the assigned automotive accounts. You will develop strategies to achieve maximum sales volume consistent with forecasted revenues and the continuous development, recording and tracking of new business opportunities to closure.Essential Functions:Identify and lead programs to grow Automotive OEM application sales per strategic initiatives. Generate ideas, complete market analyses, and lead priority commercialization programs with cross-functional teams (Sales, Technical, Finance, Operations, Logistics, Customer Service, etc.) focusing on securing application and product specifications.

Grow the direct and indirect sales to targeted automotive OEM’s, Tier 1 and related end-users. Strengthen and renewing relationships in the strategically focused market channel, focusing on material, platform and design engineering.

Represent the Fastener Commercial Catalogue to target customers in the region.

Competency in sales/commercial development through the entire value chain, primarily Automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and converters. Influencing specifications and end user support.

Accountable to deliver sales consistent with budgeted profit and selling expenses.

Provide product recommendations, technical support, and problem solving

Uncover and assess true customer needs, while aligning value-driven solutions.

Report ongoing forecasted demand as well as unusual fluctuations which may impact service to customers.

Lead customer negotiations and the development of long term contracts and supply agreements.

Proactively identify new accounts using screening techniques, referrals, and prospecting to potential customers within territory.

Develop a thorough understanding of market conditions (e.g., current customers, potential customers, competitors) in assigned territory, and develop a strategy to achieve revenue goals.

QualificationsB.S in Business, Engineering, or similar field.Preferred 3+ years experience in specification development and sales to automotive OEM’s as well as related commercial sales, key account management, product management, or marketing experience with automotive OEM’s and/or Tier 1 suppliers.Knowledge and/ or experience in injection molding, polymer processing, Automotive PPAP requirements and automotive assembly operations are positive assets.Validated skills in project and program management are important.High energy, ambitious, goals/results oriented with strong individual contributor and team skills.This position is Detroit based and the successful candidate would operate out of their home with the potential of up to 30% travel.Additional InformationWho we are!Our Story:
