ADAS Sensing Algorithm EngineerAuburn Hills, MI199717BRJob DescriptionThe algorithm engineer will develop highly complex radar algorithms as a part of an international development team for Continental's ADAS products which enter series production in the next few years.Core Responsibilities:Design, develop and validate radar algorithm features such as:
Radar signal processing
Environment Modeling
Object Tracking
Object Classification
Sensor Fusion
Optimize algorithm in terms of memory, runtime, and customer KPI attainment
Develop tools to effectively validate new features
Analyze recorded data from test vehicles to assist with addressing issues identified in validation
Assist with implementation of sensor simulations and models
Collaborate effectively with multiple engineering teams, both internal and external, to determine requirements, architecture and test methods to ensure on-time achievement of project objectives.
Maintain high-quality design and quality documentation
Assist with pursuit of new business and quoting activities.
Job RequirementsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor degree in a related engineering field, physics, mathematics, or computer science
High level of critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in C programming
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Must be willing to travel internationally or domestically (5%)
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with radar sensors
2 years in algorithm development, software development, radar tracking, or control strategies
Knowledge of radar signal processing fundamentals
Knowledge of optimal estimation methods (e.g. Kalman filtering) for use in radar tracking
Advanced degree (Masters/PhD) in related engineering field, mathematics, physics or computer science
Experience in machine learning techniques
Proficient in scripting with Python
Proficient with Version Control Tools such as Git
Proficient with Requirements Management Tools such as DOORS
Experience with working in an Agile software development environment
Experience with developing software targeted for embedded systems
Clean driving record and willingness to work with test vehicles
