Service Technician

Small Wilbraham based computer shop is looking for an experienced service technician. Applicants must have a strong Windows background.

Minimum requirements for this position include the ability to:

Expertly navigate the Windows OS

Document processes and procedures

Install/uninstall various software systems

Follow written and spoken direction

Multitask (work on several different machines at once)

Manage your time well

Take the lead on projects and/or direct others but also be a team player

Politely discuss the evaluation of machines with clients/customers in person or via phone/email

Support customers/clients in person or by remote access of machines

Perform setup and configuration of desktop/laptop equipment

Troubleshoot virus and software issues

Manage installs, moves, adds and changes of desktop/laptop hardware, software & cabling

Troubleshoot, resolve, and document end-user help requests for desktop, laptop, and peripheral problems via the company’s service order software

Ensure the timely resolution of service orders and customer requests.

Reliable Transportation with Valid Driver's License

Needed skills for this position include:

A+ / Net+ Certification or equivalent experience

Background knowledge of Macs/Apple a plus

Networking/wiring experience

The position is full-time 40 hours. Please take into consideration that this is a nonsmoking environment, and we prefer nonsmokers, as we have several employees who are highly allergic to cigarette smoke.
