Bentley University Job Description SummaryBentley University is looking for a strong technical, creative, and motivated individual to join a team in the IT enterprise applications integrations group. The Senior Integrations and Applications Support Specialist will report to the Director, Application Services and will be responsible for supporting ongoing mission critical efforts to develop a modern integrations environment as well as supporting enterprise applications in day to day operations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills and extensive experience supporting modern cloud based enterprise applications and developing integrations between applications and with a data lake environment. The Senior Integrations and Applications Support Specialist will have solid, hands-on experience with SQL, XSL, web services, JSON, API development and other tools that are used to extract, transform, and manage data. They will also have experience supporting and customizing cloud based software as a service and platform solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong communications skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical staff in multiple business areas.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5-7+ years supporting enterprise applications and developing integrations between modern, cloud based applications
  • Proven experience supporting modern, cloud-based enterprise applications (for example, Workday, Office 365, or CRM systems) and developing solutions that extend the functionality to support business needs
  • Proven experience with integration tools such as SQL, XSL, APIs or other commercial integration tools
  • Solid command of current integrations best practices and governance models
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot application issues, existing integrations, data flows, and data transformations
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with both IT colleagues, business analysts, analytics staff, and other report users at Bentley
  • Ability to understand and synthesize data and transformation requirements working with business users
  • Ability to write, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with SQL
  • Ability to document and communicate designs, analyses, and other plans both verbally and in writing
  • Hands-on experience with at least one commercial relational database (for example, Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Experience with cloud-based systems - SaaS, PaaS and understanding of industry-standard enterprise application support and data management practices

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of modern, SaaS based integration tools such as Fivetran
  • Knowledge of Microsoft data management tools (for example, Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of Office 365 collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, Planner) and previous use of O365 customization environment (Power Automate, Power Apps, Forms) to develop solutions
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript
  • Practical experience working in data management or data governance frameworks, and using tools to develop them in a small to medium sized environment (higher education experience preferred but not required).
