Biotech/Pharma Inventory TechnicianGreater Boston Area (travel between sites within 50-mile radius)Direct-Hire OpportunityMonday-Friday, 7:30AM-4PMKelly Science & Clinical has an exciting direct-hire opportunity for an Inventory Technician to join a great team in supporting leaders within the Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical industry throughout the Greater Boston Area. This role would require travel between various sites within a 50-mile radius and would be a great opportunity for someone who enjoys utilizing strong communication/organizational skills and with previous client-facing customer service experience!Job SummaryThe Technician is responsible for carrying out routine tasks at a customer(s) site, all of which may include: basic order entry, shipping & receiving, inventory point of use replenishment (inventory), production packaging, cylinder delivery, pickup, waste disposal, desktop delivery of inbound packages, cleanroom garment management, and glass washing. The work is generally performed in a laboratory, university and/or pharmaceutical environment. Must be cognizant of and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements.MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)Facilitates orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment
Manages customer’s point of use or stockroom inventory
Responsible for logistical activities such as shipping and receiving of materials through coordination with 3rd party couriers
May handle and manage chemicals, including hazardous materials
Basic order entry and follow-up on existing backorders
Handles and manages chemicals, including hazardous materials
Maintains and checks safety stations
Updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
Cleanroom garment management
May require traveling between customer sites
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)High school diploma or GED required
1 -2 years equivalent experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service
Spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG and OSHA Right to Know a plus
Previous experience working in a GMP facility a plus
Valid Driver's License and transportation
Knowledge of scientific products and services a plus
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances
Strong communication skills
Excellent Customer Service Skills; display a professional can-do attitude
Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality
Ability to understand and follow site protocols, policies and procedures
Must be flexible, forward- thinking, motivated, and have the ability to act independently
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Problem-solving skills
