Job Description:The R&D Systems Analyst position’s primary responsibility is release management and day to day systems administration of all R&D applications enterprise wide, with a primary focus on Omnify Empower PLM, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, SolidWorks Enterprise PDM and Xpedition. This position will leverage best practice technology solutions to continually upgrade and improve the implemented applications. This position will provide ongoing technical expertise and support on system functionality, system upgrades, configuration, and reporting/analytics. This role will also act as an internal consultant to functional subject matter experts to perform quality assurance data integrity audits, troubleshoot day to day issues as well as monitoring and supporting integrations with other enterprise systems.

Job Duties: Evaluate, analyze, configure, regression test and maintain Omnify Empower PLM, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, SolidWorks Enterprise PDM and Xpedition applications; provide guidance and assistance to R&D and Engineering teams. Review and define requirements with Business Owners. Participate in the technical implementation of additional modules and features. Support configuration changes as per business direction. Collaborate with other IT members on implementing system integrations and cross-functional issue resolution. Identify opportunities to improve processes as necessary. Conduct systems testing to ensure the integrity of very sensitive data. Maintain system security and access levels for all users. Ensure all testing is executed and signed off by the business leads, in a timely manner. Provide day-to-day support to end-users regarding system functionality and general operations. Document new features and issue resolution steps. Work with software vendor to create and resolve incidents for the business. Maintain license option files for application feature access. Ensure production systems maintain a high level of accessibility and uptime. Evaluate and report on new tools requested by R&D stakeholders. Work with other members of the IT team to identify areas of collaboration and automation. Work with the Sr. Mgr of Collaboration, Automation and R&D Technology to be a key liaison for R&D. Provide database maintenance through SSMS.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Technologies and minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience OR Associate or Technical degree in the field of Information Technologies coupled with minimum of 5 years’ work experience OR Any combination of Business, Engineering and Information Technology college education and minimum of 5 years relevant work experience. Technical/system administration experience managing R&D technology including experience with Omnify Empower PLM, or similar PLM systems, implementation and/or System Administration is required. May require occasional travel in North America (Canada, USA, and Mexico). Occasional work on evenings and weekends to meet deadlines and maintenance windows. Candidate must be a citizen or resident of the United States.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with R&D design tools such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Xpedition is highly preferred. Experience with Enterprise PDM is highly preferred.
