Job Description:Raytheon Missiles and Defense ( RMD)Mechanical Products team provides engineering design, integration and production to a wide range of hardware in RMD.The Platform Integration Department leads mechanical design, development and integration of platform systems. This includes shelter systems, hardware integration, cable & interconnections, as well as facility development & site integration. The department is comprised of individuals with technical expertise and experience in hardware design, integration and production support.In this role you will be a member of the Analysis and Test Development Section which is the "go-to"resource for best practices, Structural Analysis, and Test Development within the Mechanical Products team.As a SeniorStructural Analyst IIyou willsupport the team as follows:Perform a variety of structural analyses on mechanical systems for ground-mobile, ground-fixed, and shipboard applicationsCollaborate with other members of the design team to create innovative design solutions that meet structural requirementsDevelop test plans and procedure for execution of environmental testingU.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Required Skills:6+ years of experience in structural analysis including finite element modeling working from CAD geometriesAnalytical skills in both statics and/or dynamicsExperience using structural analysis finite element software such as ANSYSDesired Skills:Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment with mechanical design test disciplinesExperience analyzing to military standards and requirementsExperience with CREO (Pro-E) or similar CAD toolLeadership experience with a task or projectStrong verbal, written (technical and non-technical) and presentation communication skillsExperience supporting environmental testing, specifically hands-on experience supporting structural testingAbility to effectively work on multiple tasks with changing priorities and interruptionsAdvanced degree a plus.Ability to work in a team environmentWork with limited supervision and meet commitments for assigned schedule, financial, and technical goals.Ability to mentor and guide less experienced engineersExisting US Secret level security clearance or the ability to obtain oneRequired Education (including Major):Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical EngineeringThis position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.169269Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
