Documentation Specialist

We are currently seeking a candidate to join our team as a Documentation Specialist in New Bedford, MA. Job Description

Create, update, and review engineering drawings, specifications, manuals, and instructions.

Create, update, and maintain Bills of Materials using ERP Software.

Create and process Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s).

Maintain, file, and archive documentation of production activities.

Assist in engineering projects as required. This may include data compilation, research, troubleshooting, 3d modelling, testing, and other tasks as needed.

Work closely with engineering team, production technicians, purchasing department, and vendors to facilitate completing projects on time.

Other tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

Completion of a High School Diploma, technical or general education degree (GED). Associates Degree in related field preferred.

Related experience or training in a similar field of work or study.

Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite.

Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a plus.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Understanding of math, including basic algebra and geometry.

Adaptable and open minded, able to work independently or in a group, and apply knowledge to problem solve.

Common sense understanding of mechanical and electrical principles and theories.
