Our client is seeking a Controls Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years experience as a Controls Technician and proficient with testing equipment which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Controls Technician (6-Month Contract Role)Location: Reading, MAPay Range: $35.00 HourlyWhat’s the Job? Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and testing control systems for electro-mechanical actuators and robots. Running bench-top tests for mechanical actuators, robots, and other control systems to verify proper operation and collect performance data. Collecting, organizing, and storing test data for analysis and record-keeping purposes. Utilizing software tools such as MATLAB, to execute test plans without much supervision. Collaborating with engineering teams to implement control system upgrades, modifications, and new installations.What’s Needed? 2-5 years of experience in a controls technician or similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Proficient in the use of test equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators, to diagnose and troubleshoot control systems issues. Familiarity with MATLAB or similar technical computing software for data analysis.
