Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Tribute Technology is an industry leader, and we are growing We are looking for a passionate, innovative contributor to help us ensure our industry-leading solutions continue to securely scale as we transition our SaaS and E-Commerce products to the next level and guide new customers to our cloud-based solution. You will be supporting an innovative, secure, and high-quality SaaS based B2B2C and E-Commerce solutions in a highly competitive environment. You will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, Customer Support, Professional Services, and customers to ensure our services in AWS meet our support and availability SLAs. You will support an engagement model with hyper-focus that matches Customer Experience with our transition to a cloud-based solution in an agile environment. This includes continuous uptime and continuous delivery while supporting ITIL based operations, compliance, security, and business continuity needs.This position reports to the Director of Cloud Operations. It is a hands-on position and requires participation in the various activities from planning through execution to meet the desired objectives. This is an opportunity to work in a rapidly evolving environment where you will contribute very significantly to Tribute Technology’s phenomenal growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Systems Administration and Maintenance: Perform patching, vulnerability scanning, recovery/backups and technical support for AWS platform services, EC2 instances both Windows and Linux and container based workloads. This activity include cloud operations support and management of AWS services such as EC2, EBS, S3, RDS, WorkSpaces, AD etc.
  • Logging, Monitoring and Alerting: Review and respond to security and operational events within the system within SLA's and operating procedures. Demonstrate proficiency with CloudWatch agents, Splunk forwarders, CloudWatch Logs, Events and Metrics.
  • Security and Compliance: Hardening and compliance with CIS benchmarks, DISA STIG's and remediate vulnerabilities as reported by security tools such as Qualys. Includes security operations including response to anomalous events, blocking malicious traffic and automating response.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Ensure system reliability and uptime by providing technical support, responding to events and conducting troubleshooting by reviewing logs, collecting data and analyzing the service components at the network, compute, application and user layers.
  • Participate major incident bridge calls by stating the current issues and next steps in the investigation
  • Participate in On-Call rotation

Experience:
  • Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related engineering field.
  • 5+ years in cloud computing, DevOps or IT.
  • Experience in managing or designing cloud deployment software.
  • Experience with CI/CD philosophy, processes, and toolsets.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code frameworks such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or other similar products.
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or other similar products.
  • Knowledgeable of cloud architecture, networking, system administration, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as New Relic, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, etc.
  • Experience administering a Git management tool, such as GitHub Enterprise.
  • Comfortable with working in both Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Amazon Linux) and Windows environments.
  • Advanced experience with infrastructure tools such as AWS.
  • Experience designing and scripting “self-healing” cloud architecture.
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian toolset including Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective collaboration and problem-solving skillset including consensus building.

Knowledge/Skills:
  • Maintains current knowledge of marketplace changes, technology changes, and client businesses pertinent to cloud, server, storage and network virtualization.
  • Possess a strong understanding of SDLC principles and processes.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high demand environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates strong customer service awareness and orientation.
  • Exemplifies leadership characteristics in support of client’s corporate objectives.
  • Executive presence - ability to communicate effectively with levels of Senior Management.
