Foreman in Lowell, MA Bradford Shawsheen Coating Technologies, Inc. seeks an Assistant Foreman to join their team in Lowell, MA. As Assistant Foreman will be responsible for being the back-up to and assisting the Foreman in the day to day operations of the casting line. Will work to plan and set-up jobs per weekly production schedule to meet safety, quality and production goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Assists Foreman in operating equipment safely ? Set up fabric, paper & make splices ? Assist Line Operators ? Relieve all positions as necessary ? Follows established specifications and procedures to meet production schedule ? Recommends measures to improve productivity ? Makes adjustments as necessary on production line to produce quality products ? Assists in setup, starting and stopping production lines ? Keep the area, machines and packaging area clean ? Able to read and understand Work Order requirements, manufacturing drawings, quality specs, and ability to use them ? Notify Maintenance personnel of mechanical and/or machinery issues ? SCHEDULE This position is scheduled to work 4 am to 4 pm, Monday through Thursday. Must be able to work mandatory overtime Friday if scheduled. QUALIFICATIONS ? High school diploma or equivalent is preferred ? 2+ Years of web coating experience preferred ? The ability to operate powered equipment ? Must be detail oriented, accurate and able to work independently ? Must have "sense of urgency" in resolving problems and managing product changeovers ? Leadership experience ? Ability to stand for long periods of time ? Ability to move and lift product up to 50 lbs. ? Ability to visually inspect repeating materials ? Must be detail-oriented and have basic writing skills ? Excellent verbal and written communication skill ? Capable of performing job function utilizing written procedures, verbal instructions, and visual aids ? Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment ?
