Responsibilities:
  • Part of the Global IT team, the GxP System Administrator is on-site IT expert and professional, responsible for setting up and maintaining IT systems, servers and infrastructure.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization in Lexington facilities GxP systems.
  • Responsible for system security, software updates, and change control procedures.
  • Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance.
Requirements:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or closely related field, or equivalent exp.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting GxP IT infrastructure
  • Experience in implementing Controlled Change and Patch Management of GxP systems
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent (Hyper-V, IAAS Azure)
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, networking protocols, e.g.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g. PowerShell)
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols including experience with Veeam backup Software
  • Able to execute and report on IT led projects

Requirements

- 5+ years of related experience

- Efficient in crafting, analyzing and fixing large-scale distributed systems

- A reliable understanding of HTTP traffic, content delivery and caching

- Solid grasp of clustered and virtual storage solutions

- Comprehensive knowledge of GxP

- Engineering Change Control experience preferred

- Strong familiarity with Patch Management

- Network operating systems knowledge - as well as knowledge of programming or scripting language - is highly valued
