Accounts Payable Clerk

Description Robert Half is looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk available to start immediately. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Canton, Massachusetts area and will be a long-term contract / temporary position. This department offers prospects of career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be required to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.How you will make an impact

Carry out a full-cycle A/P

Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

Help with internal and external audits as required

Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

Carry out additional tasks as assigned

Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed Requirements - Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

Proficiency in general ledger

Purchase Orders experience preferred
