Photonics Microfabrication EngineerAs a MEMS /Photonics Microfabrication Engineer in the Microfabrication Processes Group, the candidate will play a critical leadership role in novel concept generation as well as the development of advanced microfabricated sensors utilizing MEMS, Photonics and novel Materials. The candidate will provide technical leadership for teams of engineers and physicists to model, design, develop, and characterize prototype sensors, with an emphasis on fabrication challenges.A Ph.D. or M.S. in physics, applied physics, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, optics, photonics or related discipline is required, plus at least 6 years of relevant experience. Demonstrated expertise in design and fabrication of MEMS and/or photonic devices is required. A track record of successful proposal development/business capture and program execution as a technical leader is highly desirable. The individual must be self-motivated, inquisitive, and must thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to brief non-technical audiences, are required.
