Role: Functional project manager (Clinical operations)/Analyst and SharePoint lead

Job Description:

The Cambridge, MA based project manager role supports activities pertaining to functional project management, systems, reporting, SharePoint and analytics in Global Clinical Operations (GCO). This includes project management supportof a wide range of functional process improvement projects, maintaining and supporting the department's SharePoint needs, development of data integrations, and oversight of operational data quality as well as key processes related to data capture/output in clinical trial systems.

The position requires strong collaboration, communication, leadership, and change management skills

The role supports the BPM analytics and insights team within Business Performance Management (BPM). When viewed as a lifecycle BPM touches upon distinct yet interconnected areas including IT systems for clinical trial management, data analytics & reporting, resource & demand management, process improvement & innovation.

Tasks include ( but are not limited to):

o Project Management

Lead and support end to end process improvement projects

Provide PM support to improve operational data quality of key systems

Lead maintancences and updates of key system training modules like IMPACT and Clarity by collaborating with key SMEs

Provide support to various IT team and Vendor related efforts

Responsible for documentation of project deliverables, and training materials

Support several dashboard development efforts

Lead meetings to gather requirements and consult SMEs

Manage expectation and timelines on project commitments

Working independently with stakeholders in identifying needs, process gaps, improvement opportunities, and recurring reports in a strategic way

Working with stakeholders to ensure alignment of needs

Testing Solutions - reporting, new process development, consideration of IMPACT updates

Draft and follow detailed project plans to keep projects on track

Manage multiple priroties

Coordinate internal and external resources throughout the execution of each project

Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget, while tracking the same throughout the course of the project

Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule

Report and escalate issues to management as needed

Manage the relationship with all stakeholders

Manage and communicate project risks, issues, dependencies, actions

Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

Create and maintain required project documentation

o SharePoint lead

Point person for upkeep, maintainance and enhancement of GCO SharePoint platform

Leverage enterprise IT SharePoint team for significant enhancements to the sharepoint site and ensure timely project implementation

Lead website coordinators for decentralized SharePoint management

Responsbile for creation of new Sharepoint page and data entry on as needed basis

Ensure training cycles to enable site owners and other GCO representatives to independently manage SharePoint needs

o Manage recurrent reporting

Export, store and deliver key system reports

Responsible for data gathering and reporting of several recurrent metric reporting

Identifying opportunities to turn ad-hoc reports into self-service dashboards of recurring reports

Support for CRO and internal data reports

Key role in producing and supporting activities for monthly reports to stakeholders across R&D

o Data stewardship

Support in intaking, managing and resolving issues identified with CRO and internal data

Data stewarding across a range of systems, working with inputters to achieve targets and identifying and seeking solutions for errors, rejected report feeds, etc

o Support internal BPM collaboration tools

Requirements:

  • Strong project management skills with an ability to take ownership of tasks with minimal oversight
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment with diverse stakeholders and an ability to collaborate effectively
  • Experience gathering requirements with a clear emphasis on need vs want
  • Experience working in partnership with stakeholders in solving business needs with data and insights
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Proactive communication and Leadership skills and an inquisitive nature
  • Experience with data strategy and data best practices strongly preferred
  • Experience in biopharma industry and knowledge of clinical trial operations preferred
  • Knowledge of Clinical Trial Management (CTMS) systems
  • Strong reporting/data analysis skills.
o Ability to synthesize data across datasets

o Data mapping and data normalization

o Data transformation

  • Strong SharePoint understanding preferred
  • Bachelor of Science
  • MBA or Masters in project management and business analysis preferred
