Job Description Our client is a privately held company with a mission to strengthen the financial well-being of our clients. They help people invest and plan for their future. They assist companies and non-profit organizations in delivering benefits to their employees. They provide institutions and independent advisors with investment and technology solutions to help invest their own clients' money. The team that is hiring is looking for a principal software engineer to work on their retirement transactions team. The application is a large monolith mainframe footprint used by 30 million users for processing retirement contributions. There has been an ongoing initiative to do a wholesale replacement of this application to be reengineered into cloud based distributed systems.

What You Will Be Doing The Role
  • Principal Software Engineer
  • 6-10 years of experience
  • 70% backend, 30% frontend
Daily Responsibilities
  • Work on cloud-based, fully distributed systems
  • Actively participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with product owners, other product stakeholders, and team members
  • Experience in developing web-services and web-based APIs
  • Experience in database design and working with very large data sets
