Principal Software Engineer, B2B Products

One of the top eCommerce firms in the US has an opening for a Principal Software Engineer who will act as "chief architect" for multiple areas of our technical ecosystem. This candidate will offer a strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership that will enhance our engineering team.

Role Overview: The team is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join in their Boston office! While on this team, you will develop and work on current product offerings to increase interest from costumers. Project opportunities may include: create microservices to improve application scalability, create solution collaboration between partner companies, develop algorithms that identify fraudulent listings to ensure costumer safety, construct interfaces on top of third party tools, refine pricing recommendations, and acquire hands on experience with bringing data science analytics into production.

Requirements:

7-10 years in software development
Heavily experienced in Java or similar technologies
Concrete understanding of MySQL or similar relational databases
Develop and write clean, well-tested code
Hold ownership of critical pieces of software
Have full involvement of software design, development, testing, deploying, maintenance, and improvement
Engage in leading whiteboard sessions and design conversations while providing solutions for relevant challenges at hand
Strong collaboration skills
Capability in mentoring Junior engineers
Develop and write clean, well-tested code
Interest in optimizing performance
