The Landscape Maintenance Production Manager role is responsible for ensuring execution of efficient crew production, job quality, exceptional customer service, employee safety and that the landscape maintenance crew work is performed as required.

This is a unique role for someone who has many years of field experience in the landscape industry, as well as leadership experience. This person would work hand in hand with the Landscape Maintenance Account Manager helping to oversee the landscape maintenance crew members and the properties we maintain. On a daily basis you would circulate between properties, monitoring the progress of jobs ensuring the crews are effectively and efficiently using the correct techniques and stay on budget. You will be responsible for on-going training of new and existing crew members throughout the year with equipment and services and/or guiding crew members while on-site on how to improve the task at hand, ex; pruning, edging, etc. SLS holds weekly safety meetings that you will be required to attend and periodically lead.

Requirements:

Business Degree and/or a minimum of at least 5 years of landscape/grounds maintenance experience

Minimum of 2 years of a leadership position within the landscape industry

Knowledge in all landscape maintenance services; mowing, edging, mulching, pruning, garden care, plant care, etc.

Knowledge with horticultural practices, basic plant identification

Skilled with landscape maintenance equipment and tools

Knowledge with safe work practices

Exceptional communication skills

Basic computer skills

A Valid Class D driver’s license required by time of start date and must be maintained throughout employment in this position

Hoisting License, DOT Medical Card, MCLP or equivalent preferred

MA Pesticide License preferred and recommended

Language: While not required, basic bilingual English and Spanish skills are preferred for this position

Participating with the Snow Team over the winter months
