RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking an Executive Director Software Development in Bedford, MA.

Purpose:The Executive Director Software Development will lead a development team focused on building core applications. You will help the organization meet the technical challenges of building applications to support a rapidly expanding business.

Responsibilities: Executive Director Software Development will function as a key member of the technology team, leading all development initiatives for internally developed applications Provide decisive and effective technical leadership for all software development efforts Leverage past experience and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with business clients Oversee planning and execution of product development and implementation; Direct revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements Drive software development across multiple teams and phases to ensure that engineering solutions are aligned with business objectives Drive internal processes, systems, and tools to consistently improve cycle time and time to deployment; Accountable for completion of product/software development to meet business needs Minimize schedule and technical risk by foreseeing and addressing obstacles proactively and aggressively As an Executive Director Software Development, you will participate in development process by identifying potential weak points; Lead solutions development using technical judgment, input from experts and the involvement of other systems development partners as appropriate In cooperation with product management, prioritize and manage all engineering efforts related to Applications products Work with product managers and engineering project managers to develop and maintain requirements/feature backlogs

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required Ten plus years of experience in software development with at least the last few years in a leadership role with progressively increasing responsibilities Experience leading teams that develop products in agile development Experience leading development of complex software architectures and platforms Experience leading and managing development for enterprise level applications Demonstrated success in effectively communicating at all levels of an organization Deep understanding and knowledge on developing products using Microsoft Technologies Ability to lead through influence rather than direct authority Demonstrated successful time management and organization skills Ability to manage and work with a culturally diverse population Ability to work well and productively, always projecting a positive outlook in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Ability to anticipate roadblocks, diagnose problems and generate effective solutions Knows how to organize a software development team to maximize quality and output Can guide and mentor teams members effectively Able to promote and encourage opportunities for personal and professional growth in employees Understands how to use metrics to drive process improvements
