Automated Test Engineer

Apex Systems, LLC is immediately seeking a Senior Automated Test Engineer in support of an enterprise level Government Integrator in Woodlawn, MD. The qualified individual will work in an agile team environment, which builds modern, responsive web applications for mission critical health solutions. The right person should have a strong background in manual & automated testing utilizing Selenium, within Angular based applications.

• Develop automated test scripts to validate functional, technical, and performance requirements
• Execute test scripts during internal system testing
• Document test issues and work with Dev team to validate/recreate
• Perform retesting and regression testing
• Document test results for incorporation into requirements traceability and verification matrix
• Provide support to client testers during acceptance testing, including test script walkthroughs, and document testing issues & results, as well as answer questions on system functionality
• Create/Execute/Validate smoke tests
• Develop and implement program test plans, quality assurance plans, programs, and procedures using the testing tools.
• Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
• Participates in meetings as required.

• Bachelor's degree and 9+ years' of experience in hands-on automated testing for large Web Applications & Cloud/AWS environments for Federal gov projects
• Must have 5 years of hands on experience w/ Front & Backend testing utilizing Selenium and developing/transitioning manual test scripts to automated ones.
• Must have 3 years of experience creating automation for Angular applications
• 3 years of working experience with one or more of the following disciplines: Selenium, QTP, HP-UFT, Rational Functional Tester and/or Junit.
• Experience unit testing (e.g NUnit) & load testing (e.g. Load Runner) in cloud based environments
• Experience with collaboration and tracking tools, such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA and Confluence
• Excellent knowledge in designing & implement customized test automation frameworks as needed
• Must have knowledge and experience working with and supporting the development of an overall test Plan and tailored test plans for each release.
• Strong experience creating/executing/validating smoke tests & user acceptance tests
• Experience in Agile methodology projects/environments
• Self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.

• Experience in testing roles within Federal Health, Commercial Health, or HHS projects
• Understanding of Oracle and AWS
• Demonstrating proficiency with converting wireframes to web user interfaces and testing web user interfaces
• Proficiency in with User Accessibility and 508 compliance
