Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Specialist IV is responsible for the implementation and management of the Quality Control program, including the coordination, supervision and documentation of inspection and testing services for the project(s) assigned. The Quality Assurance Specialist IV is responsible for assuring that the quality of the work meets or exceeds the project’s contractual requirements and maintains the standard of excellence established by the customer. The duties of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Develop, document, and maintain QA checklists and procedures
• Develop testing strategies and test plans
• Conduct functional testing of applications according to test plans and doument results
• Communicate defects to the project team and in a bug tracking system
• Validate fixes
• Verify built products against designs (screen mock-ups and business requirements)
• Conduct Section 508 (accessibility) compliance testing, document results, suggest fixes
• Proactively monitor systems/sites for errors or problems
• Keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices and apply new knowledge to the job
• Communicate professionally with managers, peers, and clients via e-mail, telephone, in person, or using other tools
• Work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional project team

• Must obatin DHS certified trusted tester - Section 508
• 6-8 years’ experience in position with similar duties and responsibilities
• BA/BS in Management or IT/Computer Science related field

• Experienced in internal and external quality auditing procedures and methodologies
• Experience supporting IT software development programs and related hardware integration efforts
• Understanding of DEVSECOPS and Software Integration
