Job Location(s): This individual may sit in our Rockville, MD, Fairfax, VA or Atlanta, GA offices, or work remotely.We’re currently hiring for a Multicultural Health Communications, African American/Black Audience Specialist.As a Multicultural Health Communications, African American/Black Audience Specialist, you will:· Have an understanding of multicultural communications, knowledge about the importance of addressing health disparities and strategies for communicating with vulnerable populations through social marketing.

· Focus on supporting campaigns and projects that are designed to reach and engage African American and Black communities.

· Support project teams to develop, execute and evaluate communication programs and products.

· Lead development of communication products to engage African American/Black audiences.

· Provide audience-centric support for partnership programs, earned media activities, social media engagement and paid media efforts.

· Support clients through conference exhibits and appearances.

As a Multicultural Health Communications Specialist, African American/Black Audience Specialist, you will have:Basic Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising or related majors.

4-6 years of directly applicable experience, preferably in a communications or PR agency setting.

Experience in supporting strategy development and executing multicultural communities in health-related and behavior change campaigns.

Professional SkillsInterest in working with federal health agencies, such as the Office of Minority Health, National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, US Food and Drug Administration, among others.

Knowledge of and experience with media primarily consumed by African American/Black communities.

Knowledge of and experience collaborating with community-based and national organizations engaging African American/Black communities.

Experience writing content for a variety of channels including collateral materials, social media, websites, and other materials.

Excellent verbal, written, organizational skills, and ability to interface effectively with all levels of the company and client.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and team members.
