Software Engineer, SeniorThe Challenge:

Are you looking for an opportunity to not j us t develop sof tware, but to build a system that will help drive modernization initiatives to support national security? As a sof tware engineer, you can help build and enhance complex and diverse sof tware systems based upon documented requirements. We're looking for a developer to build systems that might include processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extrem ely large data sets, real-time systems, b us iness management information systems, and systems which incorporate data repositories, data transport services, and application and systems development monitoring.

This role is more than j us t coding. We need a DevOps engineer who will monitor, s us tain, and troubleshooting operational Machine Learning systems, Graph Analytics system sof tware, distributed file systems, and storage components in a large High-Power Computing ( HPC ) Unix environment. You will also develop c us tom NiFi processors to perform Extract, Transform, Load ( ETL ) on Big Data. You will devise methods to improve existing operational data flow processing, distribution, and reliability.

You Have:
  • Experience in sof tware engineering roles
  • Experience with Java in a Unix environment
  • Experience with Apache Tomcat
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
  • Experience with us ing Apache NiFi to process and distribute data
  • Experience with corporate data flow processes and tools
  • Experience with Spring Framework
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • BS degree with 7+ years of experience in sof tware engineering roles or 9+ years of experience in sof tware engineering roles in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with containerization te chn ologies, such as Docker
  • Experience with container orchestration te chn ologies, such as Kubernetes
  • Experience with Elastic Stack
  • Experience us ing the Atlassian product suite, including Confluence or Jira
  • Experience with Git version control

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
