ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Responsible for assisting with implementation and execution of a cloud migration strategy solution with our client, cross-service teams, and third-party partners. Will need to understand the adoption challenges implementing a Unified Communication infrastructure within a Federally Certified Cloud environment. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Opportunity to work remotely and limited customer in person meetings. Will need to m eet the personnel security requirements and undergo background checks as defined in OPM policy IAW the FedRAMP Moderate baseline, the FedRAMP+ CEs related to personnel security, and DoD personnel security policies.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Network engineer has the responsibility of Network design, integration and deployment within an IL5 environment. They will also develop new systems, application implementation plans and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability. Plan for and maintain development networks, storage and assist with infrastructure. They will also create and maintain technical documentation, as well as provide professional, oral and written communications to effectively convey issues, reports, and other deliverables to counterparts. Additionally, provide Tier II/III application investigation and troubleshooting support for all entities within the organization. Perform periodic security and performance reviews as well as virus definitions and collaboration tools. Implement changes to managed infrastructure following standard ITIL aligned change control processes. Resolve technical issues associated with managed network infrastructure and respond to alerts associated with managed infrastructure. Perform standard maintenance, patching, and upgrades to managed infrastructure per ITIL-aligned standard processes.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE

• Must have at least 4 years of Systems Administration/Engineering experience.

• Must have at least 3 - year experience in designing, building and maintaining network environments.

• Must have extensive experience with Network devices, Load Balancers, Firewall, Network Intrusion Prevention systems, and VPN infrastructures

• Firewall configuration working with DNS, DHCP, IP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, and HTTPS protocols and LAN networking

• Must have working knowledge of PKI, SIEM products, and virtualized environments.

• Applicant must be able to thrive in a team environment with the engineering users and other systems administrators as well as work with other computer/facility support organizations and work well multi-tasking various related efforts.

• Must have good communications skills, both written and verbal and will be responsible for detailed documentation of all aspects of various system installation and configuration efforts.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Bachelor's degree in telecommunications or computer science plus related field experience as a Network engineer.

Experience

5 - 6 years of experience and a Bachelor degree or equivalent, or 4 years of experience and a Master degree or equivalent
