Responsibilities of the Healthcare Business Analyst:
  • Deliver functional specifications, including workflow, business rules, data analysis and mapping
  • Interact directly with clients to elicit business requirements and use cases and recommend solutions
  • Manage multiple competing priorities through effective organization and communication
  • Gather requirements and help build and document specifications for development
  • Conduct gap analyses between applications and customer requirements
  • Develop training/demo materials and help facilitate training/demos

Requirements of the Healthcare Business Analyst:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Solid hands-on experience soliciting requirements and user stories
  • Understanding of business analysis principles, processes, techniques, and workflows
  • Ability to develop and prepare use cases, functional specifications, and technical requirements
  • Ability to understand and represent the needs of the end user in a software development environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Strong consultative and advisory skills
