They engineer, deploy and manage mission-critical solutions for government, including homeland security, criminal justice, defense and civilian agencies within the U.S. Federal Government and at state and local levels.The chosen candidate will use remote monitoring tools to identify issues with customer equipment, and then work with technical support engineers to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures. Problems that cannot be readily resolved will then need to be escalated to Network Support Engineer(s) for timely resolution. The position will require this individual to work shift-work to support of the customer's requirements for 7x24x365 day support.Principal Responsibilities:- Monitoring and reporting of system capacities
- Mentoring junior level NOC personnel
- Work with technical support engineers to diagnosis network problems, follow procedures and processes to find solutions
- Monitors and controls the performance and status of the network resources with Splunk and proprietary tools
- Utilizes software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses problems and factors affecting network performance.
- Troubleshoot Voice Networking, IP Address issues related to security, firewall, etc
- Understanding of basic Networking Protocols and Troubleshooting
- Experience troubleshooting Avaya applications such as Session Manager, System Manager, Communication Manager, and associated voicemail
- Experience with telephony, VoIP and/or Data Systems
- Excellent customer service skills
- Passion and drive to grow and learn in the environment and company
- 4-5 years of experience in a Help Desk or Network Operations Center
- Relevant Degree or Certifications
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a Suitability clearance
