Job Description:Industry leading contractor located in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Senior ETL System developer.The ETL System Developer will work as part of the Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) process team as a producer of data for analytical and reporting users.Responsibilities include:

• Staging and Extracting data from data sources, such as OLTP systems and reports;
• Data Transformation and Cleansing; Change Data Capture
• Detecting erroneous data and either fixing, flagging, or quarantining as appropriate.
• Delivery of data to OLTP systems and Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence environments.

Candidate will:

• Work with a small team of professionals to produce and deliver data to both OLTP and DW/BI Systems.
• Use T-SQL and SSIS together to deliver quality ETL System components that balance throughput performance with process transparency.
• Accept input data from partially structured input sources (e.g. databases and Excel/CSV files) and define fundamental data properties (e.g. entity integrity) for these inputs.
• Stage data into well-constrained tables in ETL System database to ensure entity and domain integrity rules are enforced in all data we deliver.
• Assist data providers and consumers to better understand the data we exchange with them.
• Collaborate in a team environment, at once following established ETL processing methods and also presenting new ideas to extend the environment as it grows.
• Enhance existing systems by adding functionality.
• Maintain existing systems by identifying and correcting defects.
• Investigate and develop skills in new technologies.
• Create/amend design documents including database schema, procedure flow and business logic.
• Create new and extend existing operational documentation.
• Improve and document development lifecycle processes.

Desire Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and five years’ demonstrated experience:

• Programming in T-SQL and SSIS.Expert-level knowledge of T-SQL and SSIS is expected. Proficiency in SSRS, Power BI is a plus and Kimball Method Dimensional modeling is a plus.
• Database design and management in SQL Server. Development-oriented Database Administrator is a plus.

EXPERIENCE WITH AZURE AND AZURE DATA FACTORY IS DESIRED.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) required. Must be US citizen and meet eligible requirements for security clearance.
