ASSYST is seeking an experienced Human Centered Design Analyst / Business Analyst to support our Federal Government Program in Baltimore, MD, and engage with end-users using HCD techniques. This will include research, design, prototype, and implement new service experiences using agile methodology. The candidate will apply the principle of HCD methodologies to include requirement gathering and understand the end user’s needs and experience, understanding of organizational behaviors, pain points, and vision.

Responsibilities:
  • Use HCD techniques to understand the end user’s needs and experience, understanding of organizational behaviors, pain points, and vision.
  • Research, design, and prototype, and implement new service experiences using agile methodology
  • Design thinking and service design to ideate and develop prototypes, using key elements that include co-creation sessions/ideation sessions with users and stakeholders
  • Using a research plan, provide HCD tasks, such as formative research, such as focus group discussions with users, individual in-depth interviews (IDIs), direct observation, contextual inquiry, technical expert panel with stakeholders

Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in business analysis and leading design phase sessions for gathering requirements, writing user stories, guiding a team through data collection, analyzing results, providing input and recommendations, and developing a road map workflow process.
  • Must have strong communications skills
  • Good experience in performing user research
  • Engaging with the clients’ stakeholders and the development team to gathering requirement and creating wireframes and visual mockups
  • Performing user acceptance testing, conduct meetings and presentations to share and recommend solutions.
