ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  This position is responsible for direct sales activity within an assigned territory.This position will work in the Baltimore Environmental Simulation Lab focusing on Military and Aerospace clients and could spend more than 50% of the time outside of the office making sales calls, traveling to clients, trade shows etc. REPORTING STRUCTUREThis position reports to the Sales Manager or the Sales Director, dependent upon the structure.EXAMPLES OF WORKListed examples are illustrative and representative of the tasks required of this position and are not intended to be complete or exclusive.Work with Sales Manager to define and develop territory to increase new and existing salesGrowth of new and existing business, primarily accounts with 11-99K in revenue per yearPerform client research, prospecting, and networkingCollaborate with Marketing Department for strategic positioningAttend/participate in trade showsCreate and facilitate client presentationsMaintain quote/order levelsPrepare sales reports and forecasts and write and follow-up on proposalsMaintain sales databaseFollow through on sales transactions, specify appropriate standards, price and credit termsPerform other work as required
