Together, we are an integral part of an important mission we go to work every day with the knowledge and pride that our accomplishments make a difference.HII-Cyber & Electronic Warfare is looking for an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to take on a high-visibility role, working hand-in-hand with our customer to support mission management, process development, risk assessments, and assist with the integration of Emerging Technologies in their Annapolis Junction, MD location.

Essential Job Responsibilities

You will participate as the primary security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and/or integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments. As an ISSE, you will assist tour customer in evaluating configurations of commercial products to be used in layered solutions to protect classified data. As an ISSE, you will:

Identify points of vulnerability and recommend mitigation strategies.
Validate and verify system security requirements.
Analyze system security designs.
Design, develop, and implement security systems and components, including components for networking, computing, and support environments.
Assists in system planning, development, and deployment to ensure compliance with security standards and requirements.
Provide technical guidance in Information Assurance concepts, principles, and standards including definition and use of IA-related metadata and threat and risk analysis.
Designs and implements information assurance and security engineering systems with requirements of business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, internal counter-espionage (insider threat detection and mitigation), physical security analysis (including facilities analysis, and security management). Assesses and mitigates system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle. Validates system security requirements definition and analysis. Establishes system security designs. Implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures. Verifies security requirements; performs system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities. Supports secure systems operations and maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications

15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI

Preferred Requirements

Experience with developing systems engineering documentation, systems requirements, and functional requirements.
Experience in engineering cross-domain solutions.
