Seeking motivated technical professionals who specialize in providing Enterprise Storage and related services to client's internal and external partners and clients with a focus on stability and performance. The Senior Storage/SAN Engineers would require at least 5 to 7 years of directly related experience supporting Storage/SAN operations and engineering. The position holder will be primarily focused on performing engineering, analytical, investigative and operational functions on Agency Storage Network environment; activities include Engineering, operation and maintenance of Storage platforms, monitoring, alerting, availability, and recovery. This individual will help maintain the exiting Storage and backup system and provide evaluation/implementation of the next generation enterprise storage solution to include primary, secondary, and Disaster Recovery storage using high-speed WAN connection. Will support requirements collection and assessment of anticipated storage capacity and performance requirements for the customer's enterprise. Tasks will include but are not limited to:
  • Provides identification/fixing for tier3/4 problems within existing storage and backup systems (Dell Compellent and Data Domain )
  • Provides technical solutions and escalated support for non-routine, highly complex technical issues from Operations Team
  • Work closely with the Technical Leads to evaluate new emerging technologies and participate in analysis, design, test, and implement new development of next generation Storage and backup systems
    • Develop and maintain the storage demonstration environment in designated test lab.
    • Develop test plans to test storage and backup solutions.
    • Build drives aggregates and volumes.
    • Develop and configure SAN/WAN replication between sites.
    • Develop storage migration plan to include virtual servers from existing environment
  • Actively participate in technical meetings to suggest new ways to provide storage with backup options, encryption, secured access, and better efficiency
  • Work with different stakeholders to explain requirements and suggest the appropriate storage systems and backup solutions and procedures
  • Develop and train designated staff with "Over the Shoulder" by an Offeror implementation engineer.
  • Provide all documentations related to storage architecture and management

Qualifications:

BA/BS, 5+ years experience

TS/SCI w/ CI Polygraph
