Medical Assistant

Seeking Medical assistant for part- time position in a well established Gynecology practice on the Anne Arundel Medical Campus.

The hours needing coverage are 8 am to 5 pm on Wednesdays and prn.

Medical Office experience preferred.

The front office duties include but not limited to answering phone lines, making appointments, check-in, check-out, questioning patients regarding CDC guidelines for Covid, taking messages for the providers, posting charges, filing and pulling charts.

The back office duties include but not limited to escorting patients to the exam rooms, taking vital signs, prepping and sanitizing the exam rooms, triaging calls for the provider, preauthorizing prescriptions, calling in prescriptions, prepping specimens for the lab, giving injections, assisting the provider when needed.

The position will involve front desk duties more often than back office duties.
