Goodwill Northern New England is seeking a human services professional for the position of Residential Program Manager for two adult group homes, one in Portland, the other in Gorham, Maine. Job Summary

1) To manage a residential program, facility, and staff ensuring that all service recipients’ needs are met.

  • Maintains relationships and coordinates services with interested parties inside and outside the Agency including; providers, family, guardians, government regulators, payors and the community.
  • Assures quality of designated program(s) consistent with Agency guidelines; including customer satisfaction, record keeping, incident reporting, medication administration, access and follow-up to medical care, participation in the development and implementation of service plans for the service recipient, and ensuring service coordination, licensing and accreditation.
  • Manages day-to-day operations of designated program(s) including personnel management.

2) Represents the Agency in all interactions with other members of the Goodwill community and with the general public, supporting the agency Vision of creating sustainable communities that thrive through the fullest participation of their diverse residents.

3) Furthers the organizational commitment to triple bottom line results: integrating social, economic and environmental goals into thinking, planning and actions.

Essential Functions

Communication:

  • Maintains relationships and coordinates services with interested parties inside and outside the Agency including; providers, family, guardians, government regulators, payors and the community.
  • Coordinates monitors and reports on the maintenance of the facility; to maintain it in a safe, healthy and economic fashion according to licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Responds to urgent matters related to service recipients, employees and the facility

Knowledge:

  • Assures quality of designated program(s) consistent with Agency guidelines; including customer satisfaction, record keeping, incident reporting, medication administration, access and follow-up to medical care, participation in thedevelopment and implementation of service plans for the service recipient, and ensuring service coordination, licensing and accreditation.
  • Keeps abreast of current events within designated program and informs stakeholders of important issues/trends.
  • Works to ensure that all necessary certifications for facility staff are current within agency policy.

Administration:

  • Reviews all Mainecare billing and documentation to ensure accuracy and to comply with all Agency, State and Federal regulations.
  • Coordinates information and services with interested parties inside and outside the Agency, to include: providers, family, guardians, government regulators, payors, community and day treatment services.
  • Monitors the maintenance of Agency vehicle as well as transportation budget, where applicable.
  • Produces accurate and timely clinical, billing, administrative and other documentation as required.
  • Works to ensure the routine maintenance, safety/health standards in accordance with The Regulations Governing the Licensing/Functioning of Assisted Living Housing Programs, state, local laws and accreditation.

Supervision:

  • Manages day to day operations of designated program(s) including personnel management.
  • Responds to matters which require immediate attention including; filling in for support staff as required, responding to all incidents, and malfunctions at the facility; these duties may require wearing a pager and being on -call as assigned by the program director.
  • Ensures all program personnel perform duties in accordance with applicable federal and state safety regulation and Goodwill’s philosophy, policies and procedures.

Financial:

  • Works with the program director to develop the budget for the program(s) and expending funds consistent with the budget.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience in related fields
  • Three years experience in human services setting
  • One year of supervisory responsibility or equivalent service to the Agency
  • Valid driver’s license permitting operation of a vehicle in the State of Maine with a satisfactory driving record
  • Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
  • Criminal background check that meets Agency standards

Preferred Experience

  • BA/BS in Human or Social Services
  • Direct Support Professional Certification (or College of Direct Support)
  • Active CRMA, CRMA 40 Preferred
  • NAPPI or Behavioral Intervention Certification
