Retail Business Services is seeking motivational leader to build strong development teams, attract top talent and partner seamlessly with cross-functional business executives to deliver impactful solutions in a retail environment. This leader will be responsible for working with business leaders to understand business goals and requirements and working with cross-functional IT teams to develop, implement and maintain solutions to bring both business and IT strategy to life.

As a key partner with the Retail Innovation Center of Excellence and Retail Brand Leadership, this role will lead enterprise mobile application development (internal development and third parties), retail and emerging technology development (IoT, smart scales, sensor fusion, cameralytics, ScanIT, DeliVision) and the fuel technology application suite.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct the activities of onshore/offshore development managers, technical project leaders and developers; specifically responsible for all phases of the system development and implementation process including analysis, design, development, testing and ongoing support for application systems in an environment of diverse development platforms
  • Responsible for project planning, scheduling, status reporting and project budgets; establish and analyze staffing requirements within guidelines; responsible for implementing projects consistent with long-range IT plans and strategy
  • Develop and execute an application roadmap for existing applications including technology upgrades, maintenance and issue resolution
  • Consult with functional management in the analysis of short and long range business requirements and recommend innovations which anticipate the future impact of changing business requirements, hardware and software on the client area(s) applications and systems
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and professional organizations; perform related duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years experience managing high-performance teams
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience managing multiple teams, projects, and deadlines
  • Proven successful track record executing large project implementations
  • Passion for working with emerging technologies and innovative applications.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with a style that motivates employees and succinctly frames key concepts for executives.
  • Experience managing developers (both onshore and offshore), interfacing with clients and vendors, creation of project schedules and project status reporting
  • Experience with full project life cycle including planning and executing application implementation and the creation of support procedures; Experience with mobile technologies and mobile application development
  • Experience managing budgets of $20M+

Additional Preferred Experience:
  • M.S. or MBA Degree
  • Retail Experience - Grocery Retail even better!
  • Experience managing budgets of $50+M
  • Experience in both waterfall and agile SDLC's
  • Knowledge of native application development and hybrid application development
  • Knowledge of technology and architectures involving: devops pipelines, cloud environments
  • Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, iOS, Android, GitHub, Jira, Kubernetes, Azure
  • Familiarity with smart scales, fuel stations, IoT, cameralytics, sensor fusion
