Position Summary: We are looking for a bright, experienced, energetic leader to join our team. As a company, we strive to be number one in all our operating markets by: • Leading and enabling IT staff, vendors, and third-party Information Technology (IT) providers to make Ahold Delhaize more competitive through technology • Delivering innovative and simple to use business processes and systems • Achieving excellence in our shopping experience, both in and out of the store As a leader in the mobility space, you will oversee a team responsible for introducing new functionality and provides administrative oversight for mobile apps that our customers and associates use in the business. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: • Use experience and expertise to lead a team of engineers focused on delivering mobile initiatives that align with company/department goals and objectives • Maintain knowledge on latest industry news and challenges for retail and mobility • Ensure strategic alignment to company/department goals and objectives • Manage mobility portfolio and ensure alignment to business commitments • Continuously evaluate, prioritize, and optimize IT investment portfolio based on strategic value, business needs, cost/benefits, and critical risk across all regions. • Identify and exploit synergies, eliminate duplication across all regions and programs. • Facilitates integrated planning sessions across domains • Manage resources to support demand. Ensure the solutions team efforts are properly scheduled and staffed to ensure commitments are met as scheduled and within budget. Organize and direct the solution team and third-party providers in the planning, development, implementation and operationalization of assigned portfolio. • Enforce mobile device policies and procedures with business • Work with the Business Consultant to liaison with Client's business units • Be a mentor and work with associates and vendors that support the EMM environments. Innovation/Trends Continuously Innovates and Follows Industry Trends: • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of mobility technology disciplines and best practices • Researches new technologies and participates in industry communities or attend customer research activities to gain a better understanding of innovative ways to use technologies to help the business • Recommends software enhancements and additional opportunities based on findings Customer Service/Relationship Management Stays connected to the business: • Works with Customer Support and IT Service Delivery to investigate and identify system issues • Review's business processes to understand the capability gaps and opportunities • Recommends Innovations and business processes, systems simplifications, and best practices • Maintains a high level of individual contribution, professional growth, and ability to function effectively and independently, and challenges others to do the same • Builds professional relationships with the team members and function heads • Collaborates with team members and members of other teams on how technology can be used to match or outpace competitor performance Vendor/Supplier Management stays connected to the vendors: • Conduct 3rd-party web vendor/product evaluations and recommendations as needed • Builds professional relationships with third party vendors • Works with third-party vendors to integrate their services • Builds best practices and policies around the use of EMM platform (e.g. API's, integration) • Ensure monitoring systems for tracking third-party performance and device usage. Knowledge:- Expert in TCP/IP and wireless technologies
- Native iOS and Android development
- Solid experience with Apple iOS and Android mobile Operating Systems
- Experience working in an Agile software development methodology
- Ability to manage own work time and priorities in accordance with aggressive timelines and budgets
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent job experience
- 5-6 years of enterprise mobility device management and/or prior mobility development experience
- 5+ years Extensive technical experience with EMM Device management systems (e.g. AirWatch)
- Prior experience of managing people (10-12 resources)
- 5-10 years technical experience in Solution Engineering and/or Architecture
