K-PEL Industrial Services, Inc. is seeking a Fabrication Shop Foreman/Supervisor to be based in Fort Fairfield, ME and working at client sites throughout Aroostook County.
Requirements of the Fabrication Shop Foreman/Supervisor:
3-5 years of fabrication experience and 2 years of previous supervisory experience in manufacturing, fabrication or related field required.
Need to have understanding on sand blasting and painting equipment.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must pass a pre-employment physical.
May need to work at client sites.
Must be able to delegate authority in an effective manner.
Must have excellent time management, organizational and communication skills.
You may be required to work overtime, weekends or holidays.
Benefits of the Job:
Hourly pay in the range of: $34.00 - $40.00

Responsibilities of the Fabrication Shop Foreman/Supervisor:
Providing direct supervision to department staff and working as a hands-on supervisor.
Ensuring that department deadlines are met and that all team members are properly trained on the fabrication systems used in the department.
Working with Management to determine the priority of work from the production schedule and planning to ensure all work is completed on time.
Conducting regular performance evaluations of team members.
Holding weekly meetings to keep the team informed of safety and production guidelines and schedules.
Working safely is a must.
Ability to do material take off.
Ensuring the overall quality of all materials and products that go through the fabrication department.
Read and follow blueprints and hand sketches.
Basic rigging skills: identify and utilize straps, shackles, rigging points, etc.
Experience with basic hand tools and reference books.
Must pass an open root 6G pipe test in Carbon and Stainless steel.
Must have experience with the fabrication process including the use of equipment: Breakers, ironworkers. Plasma table experience is a plus.
Knowledge of Sandblasting/painting.
Following instructions and performing other duties as assigned by Management.
