Food Service Assistant (Portland, Maine)

Northern Light Mercy Hospital in Portland Maine is looking for full and part time experienced Cafeteria, Kitchen staff and Cooks to work in our state-of-the-art air-conditioned kitchen facilities. Responsibilities include food production and prep to support a dynamic room service program for our patients as well as top notch food for our staff and visitors in our two Café’s that include creative and scratch cooking for our entrees as well as our soups. The Café position must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills and have the ability to address customers in a pleasant, courteous and welcoming manner. Responsibilities include opening and closing the Cafe; running a Cash register, serving customers food, stocking and dating of inventory and maintaining a safe, neat, clean and sanitized work environment.

Our kitchens are open from 6 am to 7 pm creating great working hours that enable the right candidates to enjoy our wonderful state of Maine, family and outside activities
